Kurzvitae
Die Autorinnen unterrichten Englisch an der Neuen Mittelschule Emmersdorf (Bezirk Melk, NÖ), einer Schule, die vor der Umstellung zur Neuen Mittelschule eine Hauptschule mit
sprachlichem Schwerpunkt war. Die Forcierung der englischen Sprache im Unterricht ist und war den Autorinnen immer sehr wichtig. Sowohl im bilingualen Unterricht, bei
Intensivsprachwochen, als auch im regulären Unterricht wurde auf die Förderung der kommunikativen Kompetenz besonders Wert gelegt.
Die Einführung der Bildungsstandards und der Neuen Mittelschule erforderte neue
Unterrichtsmaterialien zu innerer Differenzierung und Stärkung der Sprechkompetenz. Daraus entwickelte sich die vorliegende Mappe.

ENGLISH TRAINING FOR SPEAKING 1 – 4 Helpful Prompts
ist eine Sprechtrainingsmappe für Englisch, verwendbar von der 5. bis zur 8. Schulstufe. Es werden wichtige Themenbereiche, die sich für den Einsatz im kommunikativen Englischunterricht anbieten, angesprochen.
Die Prompt Cards geben den Lernenden Impulse und Hilfestellung und können auf jeder Stufe des Erwerbs von Sprechkompetenz, sowohl in der Übungsphase als auch bei Prüfungsgesprächen, eingesetzt werden.
Die klare Struktur der Prompt Cards fördert in Folge auch die Schreibkompetenz der Schüler/Innen.
Weiters eignet sich die Mappe auch zur Übung und Vorbereitung auf die Überprüfung der Bildungsstandards im Bereich des Sprechens.
Einsatzmöglichkeiten der Prompt Cards:

Um den Einstieg zu erleichtern, wurden die Prompt Cards für die 5. und 6. Schulstufe zusätzlich in vereinfachten Versionen (basic, simplified) erstellt.
Die Autorinnen hoffen, mit dieser Trainingsmappe die Unterrichtsarbeit in Bezug auf das Erlernen und Üben von Sprechkompetenz zu erleichtern.
